The House and garden.
The country house was completely restored in 2008, using original building materials and paying a lot of attention to detail.
It is surrounded by a fenced garden (3000m2) with lavender, rosemary and salvia gardens and an orchard with cherries, apples, pears, plums and pomegranates.. The surrounding area of 5.5 hectares consists of farmland and woods. It borders to the little river and has its own source of water. The estate is therefore also very suitable for keeping animals and growing vegetables or for operating a bed & breakfast or renting apartments.

The small estate Isola del Sorbo is located in the lovely valley of the river Candigliano in the northern part of the Le Marche region.
Le Marche is a rural area with many medieval villages and towns, located in central Italy between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea. Culture is abundant here. You will find silence and space in this region, because the interior of LeMarche has not been inflicted by mass tourism.
Around the house you have a view of a rolling farmland: meadows and fields, alternating with forest. A paradise for hikers.
To the north and northwest of the house are two lakes. The last is an ideal swimming spot, a ten-minute walk away.
In the southern direction you will see impressive mountains. Above Piobbico (4.5 km away), the Monte Nerone roams and further south we see the Monte Catria and Monte Acuto. Towards the Adriatic coast, in the direction of Fano (already known 2000 years ago) the hills are getting lower. The beach is only 50 minutes away.
The nearby (4.5 km) village is Piobbico. There are restaurants, cafes, a bank, a pharmacy, two petrol pumps and shops for all daily goods. At 10 km, the small town of Urbania and a little further north (30 km) is the famous Renaissance town of Urbino. Gubbio, Perugia and Asissi are a little further away, but those towns and a journey through the Apennines are very worthwhile.
